Mypaint for Mac is not available. Mypaint Mac can be attempted through some programming, or some search for alternatives to Mypaint Mac. Pinta Mac is still in development yet promising. Tux Paint Mac does not have much to offer, but is still educating and entertaining for children. Manga Studio for Mac is the most commonly-used app by manga creators. Mypaint was originally added in Homebrew/homebrew-cask#9104, but not much happened since. I can probably compile it but it might be a tougher reach for others. Happy to test or elaborate more. MyPaint is a free drawing program which includes several tools and many different brushes, pens and other drawing tools.
MyPaint can be considered as a replacement or alternative to Windows Paint, the free drawing tool which compes with Windows. Unlike the latter, MyPaint has many different customizations and color options.
The program can simulate oil paint, watercolors, chalk or irk. It's definitely not difficult to find many of these options inside of the application interface. The color wheel also provides an easy way to select colors to draw with.
Users with tablet PCs may use this program with their preferred drawing hardware or desktop users can also use the mouse to create their works of art. Overall, one just requires some creativity to create something nice and MyPaint facilitates that. Like PhotoShop or ArtRage, you're able to create, edit and delete layers.
Overall, MyPaint is both easy-to-use and provides access to many different creative tools. It creates PNG, JPG and ORA images.

Packaging time already started but still not published yet , installerfor various system ( Win, Mac , linux distribution ) based on the 1.0code source should appear shortly ( encouragement for all the packageraround who works hard on it ) . If you want to help ; check thepackaging status here and talk with us via mailing list / forum / IRCchannel . *-buntu users affraid to compile will probably enjoy toinstall the developpement ppa .
Changes:
- A configurable toolbar has been added with dropdown widgets for colour, brush, and brush settings.
- Floating tool windows can now be docked into a sidebar inside the main window.
- A “Lock Alpha” mode has been added for brushstrokes, and there are now some basic layer compositing modes.
- Mouse and stylus buttons can be bound to different actions via the preferences.
- There’s a new scratchpad tool which can be used for thumbnails, notes, or recording brushstrokes and colour choices.
- Finally, there have been numerous little improvements and bugfixes to MyPaint’s speed, user interface, and its brush collections.
